Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Nextro uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It applies to the Nextro platform operated by NEXTROUK LTD (trading as Nextro) (Company No. 17276330), England and Wales.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the website to recognise your device and remember information about your visit. Similar technologies such as local storage and session storage may also be used for equivalent purposes.

2. Essential cookies and tokens

Essential cookies and storage tokens are necessary for Nextro to function. They cannot be switched off without breaking core functionality. These do not track you for marketing purposes and do not require your consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

  • Nextro session token — An httpOnly cookie set when you sign in to your Nextro account. This token maintains your authenticated session and is required to access the platform. It expires when you sign out or after a period of inactivity. No personal data is stored in the cookie itself.
  • Firebase Authentication tokens — Firebase (Google) uses browser-side storage (IndexedDB and localStorage) to maintain your authenticated session after sign-in. These tokens are required to keep you logged in to your Nextro account. They are cleared when you sign out or when you clear site data.

3. Security cookies — Google reCAPTCHA

Nextro uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 on account registration and sign-in pages to detect and prevent automated abuse. reCAPTCHA v3 operates invisibly in the background — it does not present a visual challenge to users. Google uses cookies and browser signals to generate a risk score that helps us distinguish human visitors from bots.

reCAPTCHA is operated by Google LLC and is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. We rely on legitimate interests as the legal basis for using reCAPTCHA, as it is necessary to protect the platform from fraudulent account creation and automated attacks.

4. Stripe payment cookies

When a customer proceeds through the card payment checkout, Stripe's embedded checkout is loaded on the Nextro booking page. Stripe sets its own cookies and uses similar technologies during the payment flow to:

  • Detect and prevent fraud during payment processing.
  • Remember payment form state during the checkout session.
  • Support Stripe's security and identity verification systems.

These cookies are set by Stripe Technology Europe, Limited and are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. Nextro does not control or have access to these cookies.

5. Analytics and performance tracking

Nextro uses the following non-essential analytics and performance tools. These are only activated after you explicitly click Accept all on the cookie banner. If you click Reject non-essential, none of these tools will run.

  • Firebase Analytics (Google) — Collects anonymised usage data to help us understand how businesses use the platform. Data is processed by Google and governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel Speed Insights — Measures page load performance to help us identify and fix slow pages. No personal data is collected. Governed by the Vercel Privacy Policy.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — Tracks page visits on the Nextro marketing site to support advertising attribution and audience analytics. Only runs after you accept cookies. Governed by the Meta Privacy Policy. We do not share customer personal data with Meta.

Your cookie preference is stored in your browser's local storage under the key cf_cookie_consent and persists until you clear your browser data. You can update your preference at any time by clearing local storage for nextroapp.com in your browser settings.

6. How to manage cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View which cookies are stored on your device.
  • Block cookies from all or specific websites.
  • Delete cookies stored during past browsing sessions.

Please note that blocking or deleting essential cookies (the Nextro session token and Firebase authentication tokens) will prevent you from signing in to Nextro, as authentication relies on them.

7. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we introduce new features that use cookies or if applicable law changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
